Dr. Corvol has been the director of INSERM’s 36 division in vascular pathology and renal endocrinology since 1983 and director of IFR52 and Professor of Experimental Medicine at Collège de France since 1989.
His work on the genetics of human hypertension and his cardiovascular research is highly regarded. From 1999 to 2003, he served as Chairman of the INSERM Scientific Counsel. He has been a member of the Institut de France’s Sciences Academy since 1995.
Dr. Corvol has an M.D. and Ph.D. in Medicine and a Ph.D. in Sciences.
