ExonHit has developed its own diagnostic pipeline based on its unique gene to biomarker discovery process. We can detect diseases from peripheral tissues such as blood as well as from diseased tissues.
Exonhit currently has a strategic collaboration with bioMerieux in the field of Oncology.
The collaboration, initiated in October 2005, is based on ExonHit's gene expression analysis expertise and intellectual property as well as on bioMérieux's know-how in the field of in vitro diagnostics. Its goal is to develop customized SpliceArray™ biochips to detect cancer markers in blood samples. SpliceArray™ biochips are perfectly suitable for detecting nucleic acids which allow the identification of multigenic diseases such as cancers.
Both companies currently work on un program to discover and develop biomarkers to detect prostate cancer.
The strategic collaboration will enable bioMerieux to bring diagnostic kits onto the market as IVD registered tests for Clinical Diagnostics.
ExonHit will market the diagnostic kits developed during the partnership to pharmaceutical companies or hospitals taking part in clinical studies, in order to help them better recruit patients for their clinical studies.
